The Europlanet Science Congress (EPSC) 2026 takes place in The Hague, Netherlands, bringing together the planetary science community for six days of scientific sessions, including oral and poster presentations on all aspects of planetary research.
Of particular relevance to the geoastronomy and
exoplanet community is Session EXOA9 on "Galactic Chemical Evolution
expressed in the evolutionary histories of rocky exoplanets", convened
by Stephen J. Mojzsis and Claire Guimond (co-conveners: Thomas Trueman,
Maxim Ballmer). The session encompasses observational, theoretical, and
experimental studies connecting galactic chemical evolution and
nucleosynthesis with exoplanetary geodynamics, magnetic dynamo
generation, volcanic activity, and secondary and hybrid atmosphere
generation.
An abstract processing fee of €50 applies per
submission. Both on-site and virtual presentations are possible.
Bursaries for early career researchers, students, and participants from
under-represented countries are available.
