Abstract: As the most massive collapsed structures in the Universe, galaxy clusters provide a unique probe for exploring the nature of dark matter and constraining cosmological parameters of the Universe. In this talk, I will highlight my research on understanding the nature of dark matter using X-ray observations of galaxies and clusters of galaxies. I also will focus on importance of utilizing X-ray and Sunyaev Zel'dovich Effect observations of clusters in cosmology calculations and discuss the role of carefully calibrating scaling relations at all redshifts, physics of the intra-cluster medium, and non-Xray background. In addition, I will highlight the potential of the future eROSITA survey and pointed observations in revolutionizing the clusters astrophysics and cosmology.
