Track 2 of the LMU Open Science Summer School 2026 equips early career researchers and research support staff with pedagogical skills to promote open science through teaching. No prior teaching experience is required. The track is available in-person and online.
Participants develop basic didactic techniques to
convey open science topics; learn to design and deliver workshops for
diverse audiences; implement techniques to foster learner motivation and
engagement; develop skills to advocate for open science and lead
discussions; and design their own workshop on an open science topic for
future delivery.
After completing the track, participants are
strongly encouraged to deliver the workshop they designed, with
practical and logistical support from the LMU Open Science Center, to
become a certified Open Science instructor.
Participation is possible in-person at the Philologicum Library, Munich, or online via Zoom.
