Call for proposals for ESO science workshops 2027, focusing on scientific collaboration, hybrid participation, and diversity.
ESO invites the scientific community to submit proposals for science
workshops in 2027. Workshops will be held in Garching (Germany) or
Santiago (Chile) and supported or co-funded by ESO. Collaboration with
ESO staff in Chile and Germany is encouraged. All workshops must be
hybrid to allow global participation. Proposals should outline the
scientific focus and format without contacting potential SOC members or
speakers. For Garching, joint conferences with local institutes (Max
Planck, LMU, TUM, Excellence Cluster) are particularly encouraged. The
deadline is May 15, 2026 (23:59 Chilean time).
