The conference brings together global experts and young researchers to discuss theoretical and observational aspects of black holes and their role in cosmology. Topics include dark matter, primordial black holes, gravitational-wave astronomy, structure formation, and quantum aspects of black holes.
The conference Black Holes & Cosmology will take place at the University of Iceland from 5 to 9 August 2025. The goal is to bring together world-renowned experts and junior scientists working on both theoretical and observational aspects of black holes – especially in relation to cosmology.
Main topics include:
– Dark Matter
– Structure Formation
– Primordial Black Holes
– Gravitational-Wave Astronomy
– Quantum Aspects of Black Holes
The conference will feature more than 30 invited speakers, including:
Lisa Randall (Harvard), Bernard Carr (QMUL), Netta Engelhardt (MIT), Marat Gilfanov (MPA), Katherine Freese (UT), Joe Silk (IAP/JHU/Oxford), and many more.
