I am a theoretical astrophysicist, working as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching, Germany.
Starting in the Fall of 2014, I will begin a dual appointment as an Research Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University and as a Research Associate at New York University.
My research focuses on the origins, growth and dynamics of (big) black holes:
binaries and mergers of supermassive black holes,
the cosmic origins and evolution of supermassive black holes,
and the theory of gas accreting onto black holes and other compact objects.
