Talk Title: Submm Galaxies - Star Forming Proto-Ellipticals @ z>2

Abstract: With a help of a new stellar population synthesis model built for dusty starbursting galaxies, we will present an evolutionary path of Submm selected galaxies at z>2 (SCUBA, radio, lensed, and GRB host) and will show that they are genuine proto-populations of present day elliptical galaxies. It will also be argued that the Colour-Magnitude relation of high-z submm galaxies is caused by mean stellar metallicities. Effective radii of Submm galaxies are muc smaller than nearby ellipticals, suggesting a significant mass assembly at z<2.
