Talk Title: The star-formation history of galaxies: New constraints from SIRTF
Abstract: The Space Infrared Telescope Facility will provide invaluable new information on the stellar content of galaxies at high redshift, and on the rates at which they are forming stars. I will present an overview of the ways in which SIRTF data, combined with other observations, will help us to constrain the mass assembly history of galaxies, with special emphasis on plans for the Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey, a SIRTF Legacy program.
