Talk Title: Evolutionary Stellar Population Synthesis at Moderately

Abstract: We present further developments in evolutionary stellar population synthesis modeling for predicting spectral energy distributions in the optical and in the near-IR at moderately high resolution (FWHM~2A). The model employs extensive empirical stellar libraries covering an unprecedented stellar atmospheric parameter coverage. The model SEDs allow us to analyse fluxcalibrated galaxy spectra at the resolution given by their velocity dispersions. We study the behavior of the main features dominating this spectral region, showing its potential, and propose key diagnostic diagrams for disentangling the relevant stellar populations parameters, such as age, metallicity abundance ratios or the IMF shape.
