MPA/ESO Cosmology Conference

Evolution of Large-Scale Structure:

From Recombination to Garching

August 2-7 1998

The meeting covered current observational and theoretical research on the large-scale structure of the Universe. It took a broad view, exploring connections between cosmic microwave background fluctuations, high-redshift structure in the intergalactic medium and galaxy distribution, and the present-day distribution of galaxies and dark matter. Review speakers gave overviews of the present state of the field, as well as indicating where significant new developments were likely to occur. Targetted talks presented the most exciting results of the last year or two. There were also opportunities for participants to contribute shorter talks and posters.
