The conference dinner will take place at the Weisses Braeuhaus in central Munich, on Wednesday 24th August with drinks starting at 8pm and dinner being served shortly thereafter. Please make your own way to the restaurant from the hotels. Since the workday will finish early, you may like to visit Munich for a few hours before the meal.
Participants at Am Park, Hoyacker Hof or Koenig Ludwig II should take the 291 bus from the stop at Maibaum in the direction Garching-Hochbrueck. You can buy return tickets from the driver. You should ask for either a XXL-Karte (cheapest option if you are travelling on your own) or a Partner-Tageskarte Gesamtnetz (up to 5 people can travel together with this).
Buses will be leaving the Maibaum stop at 17.07, 17.27, 17.37, 17.57, 18.17, 18.37, 18.54, 19.15 and 19.35. At the Garching-Hochbrueck U-Bahn station please connect to the U6 line. Those staying at the ETAP and IBIS hotels are directly adjacent to the train station.
Take the train directly to Marienplatz. The ticket covers both bus and train.
At Marienplatz, exit towards the front of the train, and take the escalator up to the next level. Staying to the left, follow the signs to "Tal" and exit to ground level using the stairs at the furthest exit. You should find yourself next to the department store "Ludwig Beck".
Continue walking in the same direction and cross two small streets. The restaurant is on the corner of the second one.
ON RETURN: It may be that bus 291 is no longer running from Garching-Hockbrueck. In that case, take bus 290 until Rathausplatz.
