CoCoNuT Code
Here should appear some CoCoNuTs

Introduction:

The numerical code CoCoNuT has been used since it was written in 2001 by Harald Dimmelmeier, by a small but growing community of astrophysicists to model sources of gravitational waves. A training event on the CoCoNuT code has become necessary over the last year due to some recent incorporations to the CoCoNuT community. The idea of the School is to train the CoCoNuT users not only on the basics of the use of CoCoNuT as a "black box" but also on the detailed structure of the code and how to modify it properly (and safely).

The school:

The School took place at the Max-Planck Institut for Astrophysics (Garching, Germany) from November 4th to November 6th with the support of the German research network SFB / Transregio 7 "Gravitational wave astronomy".

Organizers:
  • Pablo Cerdá-Durán, MPA, Garching bei München (Germany).
  • Jerome Novak, LUTH, Observatoire de Paris, Meudon (France).
