Introduction: The CoCoNuT code is a general relativistic hydrodynamics code with dynamical spacetime evolution. The aim of this numerical code is the study of several astrophysical scenarios in which general relativity can play an important role, namely the collapse of rapidly rotating stellar cores and the evolution of isolated neutron stars. During the last years an increasing interest has developed towards the realistic modellization of core collapse supernovae and neutron star evolution in order to increase the predictive power of the simulations in electromagnetic signals, gravitational waves or neutrino emission. This task can only be accomplished with a proper description of microphysics. This is the reason why we would like to devote the next CoCoNut meeting mainly to discuss recent progresses and future developments of the code in this direction. Possible topics of the meeting are:
The purpose of the CoCoNuT meeting is twofold: on the one hand it is intended as a regular (yearly so far) meeting of the CoCoNuT users, but it also serves as an opportunity to interchange ideas with users of similar numerical codes. Therefore the attendance to the meeting of anyone outside the CoCoNuT community is welcomed. Invited speakers:
For the second consecutive year, the meeting will take place at the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics (DAA) of the University of Valencia, in Valencia, Spain, from September 15 to 17, 2010. Deadline for registration and abstract submission is 15th August. If you would like to attend the meeting please fill the registration form. Organizers:
