Physics of galaxy clusters:
Irina Zhuravleva is working on resonant scattering in strong X-ray lines
in clusters of galaxies, which firstly affect the surface brightness
profiles and line shapes. In particular she is interested in investigation
of anisotropic gas motions using resonant scattering and caused by
scattering polarization, which is sensitive to the transverse velocities
of gas motions.
