Undergraduate involvement
The GASS team includes several undergraduates who contribute to the
planning, observing, data analysis and corollary investigations
associated with the project. Starting in the summer of 2008, several
undergraduates at Columbia University (Geoff Banker, Heather
Duckworth, Jenna Lemonias/post-bac) have performed a detailed analysis
of GALEX observations of the GASS parent sample, a data set that
includes over 18000 UV images of the superset of GASS targets. During
the 2008-2009 academic year, undergraduates will be involved with
remote and on-site GASS observing and data reduction.
